Kittelsen in Lofoten

We can see Skomvær as it really is, first during the winter, when the storms howl about us. Then it lives up to its name. The whole island is engulfed by the sea in a frenzied circle of foam and breakers. Booming and crashing upon the shore, the howl and thunder of thousands of demons is heard, and the froth of the sea whitens the skerries and every small island.
