<title>Tønsnes havn, Tromsø kommune, Troms : rapport fra arkeologiske utgravninger i 2008 og 2009</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/10037/2669</link>
<description>Skandfer, Marianne; Grydeland, Sven Erik; Henriksen, Siv; Nilsen, Roy Anders; Valen, Christian Roll&lt;br /&gt;
Utgravningene av totalt elleve lokaliteter på Skarpeneset i 2008, med et begrenset tillegg i 2009, avdekket overraskende fire store, rektangulære tufter, mer eller mindre nedgravde i bakken, på to av lokalitetene. Tuftene er datert samlet til 7000 – 6500/6400 f.Kr. Det foreslås at de er rester etter hus med parvis skråstilte, takbærende stolper, uten markerte ildsteder og med minst to åpninger/innganger. Til tross for klare likhetstrekk framviser tuftene relativt stor morfologisk variasjon med hensyn til størrelse, form, grad og form på nedgravning i gulvet, konstruksjon av vegger, samt rominndeling. Markkjemiske analyser viser at enkelte av veggene ble brukt som avfallsområder (møddinger). Funnmaterialet var konsentrert innenfor og i veggene på tuftene. Harde bergarter, inkludert flint fra lokale morenemasser, kvarts, kvartsitt og chert, dominerer. Redskapsmaterialet består av avslag med ulike typer retusj, flekker, mikroflekker, noen få tverrspisser, stikler og bor. Flekke- og mikroflekkekjerner finnes i materialet, men vanligst er bipolare kjerner. Funn av en liten, slipt skiferøks og fragmenter av to andre økser kan muligens ses i sammenheng med påvist sekundær bruk. De resterende ni lokalitetene som ble utgravd i 2008 ga lite informasjon til kulturhistoria for Skarpeneset.; The excavations of a total of eleven sites at Skarpeneset in 2008, with a limited supplement in 2009, surprisingly revealed four large, rectangular house structures, partly dug into the ground, located on two separate sites. They are dated between 7000 and 6500/6400 cal. BC. It is suggested here that the houses had roof-bearing posts leaning towards each other in pairs over the floor area, no marked hearths and at least two entrances each. Despite obvious resemblances between the four houses there is also a relatively marked morphological variation among them, with respect to their size, shape, level of floor below the ground, wall constructions, and interior structure. Soil chemistry analyses indicate that some of the walls were used as waste deposits (middens). The find material was concentrated within the houses or in the walls. Hard raw materials, such as flint from a local Ice Age moraine, quartz, quartzite and chert dominate. The tools are mainly flakes with different kinds of retouch, blades and microblades, a few single-edged and transverse points, burins and drills. Blade- and microblade cores are present, but the most frequent is the bipolar core. The excavations revealed that at least two of the structures had been used secondarily, albeit probably not for housing. A small, polished slate axe and two more fragments of axes could possibly be related to the secondary use could possibly be related to identified secondary use fo two of the structures. The other nine excavated sites provided little information concerning the culture-history of Skarpeneset.&lt;br /&gt;
